The updated Monal Photography Blind - V2 maximizes comfort and versatility. It is our largest blind and can accommodate two photographers or one photographer operating multiple cameras. The Monal has 6 main shooting windows that can be customized to provide varying levels of concealment or visibility. It comes with a variety of interchangeable window panes and lens sleeves that can be used on each of the blinds four main shooting windows and includes provisions for using a flash. The Monal window system has been updated in a number of ways to be more waterproof and to operate silently without the use of Velcro. To avoid water leaking inside the shooting windows, we’ve added a screen which entirely covers the shooting window from the outside when not in use. Each screen incorporates a small survey windows that can be opened or closed and will fit a small telephoto lens or binoculars. These windows give the photographer improved visibility around the blind. The Monal erects and packs down in minutes using a robust hub system. The removable floor can be left in place making the blind perfect for overnight camping or working in wet areas. The blind is also well ventilated with a rain fly suspended above a mostly mesh roof. This stops condensation from forming on cold days and keeps it from getting too hot in the sun. The optional Screen Door lens sleeve can be added to one or both of the Monal's doors for even more air flow on hot days. The Monal is constructed with 150D waterproof polyester which drys as fast as nylon but is significant stronger and holds up far better to UV exposure. The interior of the fabric is now coated with an opaque isotherm PU coating that reduces the temperature inside of the blind in sunlight and creates total darkness inside the blind to prevent silhouetting when the blind is back-lit.
