The BAND-IT C40099 ratchet tool is made of 1045 carbon steel and can be used to tighten and trim BAND-IT steel straps for tasks such as mounting signs, securing cables or wires, installing insulation, or bundling materials to a pallet for shipping. Carbon steel is resistant to impacts and wear. The ratchet tool accepts straps that are between 3/8" and 3/4" wide and up to 0.03" thick.
